Tasting Notes

The estate's flagship red and a Viñedo Singular wine — a co-fermented field blend in the historic Rioja manner, Tempranillo led with Garnacha and a small proportion of white Viura, from the oldest organically farmed plots at 570 metres. Fermented in concrete and matured around eighteen months in French and American oak. The nose is deep and layered: blackberry, dark plum and black cherry over black pepper, cedar, sweet spice and a savoury, earthy undertone. The palate is broad but never heavy, with firm polished tannins, real freshness for the vintage and the estate's signature stony minerality running through a very long finish. Recognisably Rioja, then considerably more — a vin de garde that will keep integrating for years.
