Tasting Notes
One of only a handful of white wines in all of Rioja to carry the Viñedo Singular distinction — the appellation's highest single-vineyard classification. Pure Viura from the estate's oldest goblet-trained parcels, vines averaging sixty-five years and some reaching ninety, grown organically on forty centimetres of white pebbles over sandy subsoil. Fermented half in concrete and half in French oak, then aged on lees with minimal bâtonnage. A wine that dismantles Viura's reputation for neutrality: quince, ripe pear, white blossom, toasted almond and beeswax over a fine spice from the oak. The palate is deep and textural, held taut by chalky acidity, closing long and unmistakably stony. A modern benchmark for white Rioja with a decade of life ahead of it.
