Tasting Notes
Terre Rare β "rare earth" β comes from old bush-trained Carignano on the mineral-rich sands of Sulcis, on Sardinia's south-western coast, tempered by the sea breeze. Deep ruby with violet highlights. Pomegranate, currant and wild blackberry with aromatic herbs and a note of liquorice. Warm and generous on the palate, dry, with soft supple tannins and ripe late-harvest fruit framed by a measured touch of oak; the finish is long and spicy. Part of the wine ages eight months in second-passage barriques.
